The four displays listed on this page are from the university's sesquicentennial (150th) birthday celebration. Shepherd University (then Shepherd College) was founded in 1871 and became part of the State Normal School system in 1872. Two displays were set up in the main Reading Room as usual and two smaller displays were set up in the case near the library's main entrance.
