Sesquicentennial Mini-Display Wear Your School Spirit!

CELEBRATE SHEPHERD'S 150TH BIRTHDAY!

2021FallMiniDisplayWearYourSchoolSpirit

This year marks the sesquicentennial (150th) year since Shepherd University (former Shepherd College) was founded and began classes under the leadership of Principal McMurran. The mini-display in the area near the B&T Collection is a joint effort between Shepherd University Archives and Special Collections and the library.

The display, titled, WEAR YOUR SCHOOL SPIRIT, focuses on items within the archives (and graciously loaned by other university departments) that demonstrate the forms of garments or jewelry that have been used to show school pride.

An Invitation

Join us in the celebration! Sign a square for our Sesquicentennial Quilt!

On the top of the New Arrivals display is an on-going project created by one of our librarians. Feel free to use the fabric markers on the quilt squares provided and drop the completed square into the second basket. When enough squares have been signed or otherwise decorated by the Shepherd University community, the quilt will be sewn together and then kept for posterity in the Shepherd University Archives.
