This guide is an online repository of all past Shepherd University Archives and Special Collections (SUASC) displays from Summer 2019 forward.
Because the academic year does not exactly follow the calendar year, the displays will be listed as Fall, Summer and Spring terms under their respective calendar year. Spring term displays will be at the bottom of the list and Fall at the top of the list because that is how the academic terms arrive in the calendar year.
Navigation to the displays' pages can be done either through the drop-down menu for each academic year (the blue tabs) or via hyperlink in the box "Reading Room Display Years," choosing a year, and choosing a particular display from that year.
Before 2019, the displays in the Reading Room case were not routinely photographed or otherwise documented by archives staff. In 2019, it was determined that sharing the displays via an online presence would be beneficial for the archives and the community it serves. The display pages for the displays placed in the library's Reading Room have been documented since that time.
At first, only the complete display was shown but as the years have progressed, the displays' pages provide images and information about the items used to create the exhibit.
Photographs are taken by library staff and are credited to them on the display page each photographed.
