Sesquicentennial Mini-Display Shepherd Celebrations

CELEBRATE SHEPHERD'S 150TH BIRTHDAY!

Spring 2022 mini-display titled SHEPHERD CELEBRATIONS A Retrospective: Looking Back from 2022-1902

This year marks the sesquicentennial (150th) year since Shepherd University (former Shepherd College) was accepted by West Virginia as a State Normal School. The mini-display in the area near the B&T Collection is a joint effort between Shepherd University Archives and Special Collections and the library.

The Spring display, titled, SHEPHERD CELEBRATIONS A Retrospective: Looking Back from 2022 to 1902, focuses on items within the archives that show items and methods of major celebrations at Shepherd from the Founders' Day gift during 2021 backward to the ceremonial cornerstone-laying of Knutti Hall in 1902.
