Refining Your Search

In most databases, you'll see "filters" that you limit your results to a certain type of result, or limit your search results to a certain timeframe. In many cases, these filters will be to the side of the results. Here are a few examples:

  1. Toggle between holdings at Libraries Worldwide or only in the Shepherd collection. You can submit an ILL request directly from this interface without having to fill out a form on the library’s website.

2. Limit to only books or only articles …. Whatever format you prefer.
