Feeding large numbers of individuals involve factors most diners are unaware of. This article in the PICKET from 2021 shares what some of the current considerations of Dining Services are since D-Hall (the one built in 1961) was closed and food services moved into Rams Den on East Campus and Riverside Market on West Campus.
Inside Shepherd University Dining was written by PICKET staff on April 2, 2021 as a follow-up to a previous article written in March 2021 where questions about meal plan costs were raised.
Summer term's display, titled "Dining In at Shepherd, 1915-2025" showcases the university's dining facilities and how students paid for or obtained meals over the decades while on campus.
Come find out what the first dining hall looked like, examine an artist's conception of the to-be-constructed one on West Campus, and discover how the campus has fed its students, faculty, staff and guests.
