Help/Troubleshooting for Title Requests

Can I preview a movie before requesting a license?

  • Trailers are provided for all movies when available and may be used without a license. Unfortunately, previewing entire movies prior to licensing is not something that we are permitted to offer at this time.

How long does it take for a title to be accessible once it is requested?

  • Requested movies are typically reviewed and approved by your school prior to being added to your streaming platform. Once a request has been approved by your school, movies are typically available in your streaming library within 24 hours.

 How many TBD titles does our school have remaining?

  • Check the Content Manager tab for "Title Credits Remaining". If you do not see this in your portal, contact a Swank Account Manager.

Can I cancel a title request?

  • If the status of a request is "Submitted", the request may be canceled.

 

Restricted titles must be shared with students via Direct or LMS links. Here's a video about Restricted Titles.

Help/Troubleshooting for Sharing

Is there a limit to the number of times I can share a Direct Link?

  • No, Direct Links may be shared with an unlimited number of students who may view the movie at the same time.

Is there a limit to the number of movies I can share with my students?

  • No, there is no limit to the number of movies a teacher may assign to students.

Is there a limit to the number of students who may view a movie at the same time?

  • No, an unlimited number of students may view the movie simultaneously.

What is the difference between a Direct Link and a LMS Link?

  • The links are formatted for sharing with students in different ways. Use Direct Links to share with students in syllabi, email, etc. Use LMS Links for systems, such as Google Classroom, Blackboard, etc.

Why do I receive an error when adding the link to my school's course management system?

  • Check to make sure you copied the LMS Link, which is formatted for other systems. The Direct Link is to be used when sharing movies via email or other documents.

How long do I have access to a movie?

  • Click on a movie to open the title preview page. The "Available through" date is listed under the Share button.
