Women's History Month: Welcome

Welcome to the Women's History Month Resource Guide: In honor of March being Women's History Month, we are highlighting a number of resources that are available through Scarborough Library, in addition to a variety of web resources.

Welcome!

This guide provides a starting point to learn about Women's History Month which is celebrated annually during the month of March. Why do we have a guide to women's history? Women's contributions and accomplishments have largely been overlooked and consequently omitted from mainstream culture. This guide is intended as a non-exhaustive resource on contemporary and historic women and their works, accomplishments, and histories. In it, we strive to recognize the intersectional nature of identity and hope to highlight voices and stories across a wide range of lived experiences.
The Shepherd University community is welcome to suggest resources, guides, or any other information relevant to this guide by contacting tcarlisl@shepherd.edu.
