Comprises the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, second edition, edited by Stanley Sadie and John Tyrrell (London, 2001), The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, edited by Stanley Sadie (London, 1992), and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, second edition, edited by Barry Kernfeld (London, 2002). Articles that have been updated since their appearance in print are date-stamped in the upper right corner of the screen.

Includes all forms of scholarly works, including coverage of journal titles since 1969

Music Index is a comprehensive guide to music periodicals and literature from 1952 to present. This database contains cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts of articles about music, musicians, and the music industry for more than 470 periodicals, book reviews, obituaries, news, and selective coverage for more than 230 periodicals. Topics concerned with every aspect of the classical and popular world of music are thoroughly categorized/organized by internal subject list.

Multidisciplinary full-text articles from scholarly journals. Narrow your search by Item Type and by Discipline before you enter your search terms in the search boxes.

Multidisciplinary full-text articles generally from the current 3 to 5 years. Click on Advanced Search at the top right.above the Content box. Then limit your search under Research Area by subject on the left hand side. Select any other limits before you enter your search terms in the search boxes.

History of United States and Canada; indexes cover pre-history to present day. Coverage is from 1954 to date and includes over 490,000 abstracts to journal articles and over 6,000 citations to books and media reviews as well as citations to abstracts of related dissertations. Coverage is worldwide, but 90% of articles are published in English-language journals. All abstracts are in English.
